Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)



EFT is a simple, rapid, and effective technique that relieves stress, anxiety, fears, old emotional patterns, pain, and physical issues.

Our bodies and spirits are always moving towards health and coherence, unencumbered by the burdens of the past. Our souls want to be free! This simple, scientific technique accomplishes this with effectiveness and elegance. EFT or meridian tapping allows us to shed our limitations and move into a more expanded version of ourselves. This is felt in all areas of our lives, rippling out, creating more passion, aliveness, and connection. We are already whole and coherently perfect so by letting go of our limitations, we move into our natural state.

This process not only works to create more joy, but as we shed old negative patterning, allows our bodies to feel younger, more flexible, lighter. It has been scientifically proven that negative, unresolved emotions contribute to health issues.

It is based on a synthesis of Chinese acupuncture and cognitive restructuring. EFT or tapping on the end points of the body’s energy meridians or channels sends a calming signal to the amygdala in the brain and counteracts the stress of an anxiety provoking event or emotions. So, as we tap on our stress, we calm the hyper-arousal of the limbic system and amygdala, allowing the brain to go back online which allows cortisol levels to decrease and the body relaxes.

Two Types of Sessions



• EFT Session

This session is approx. 60 minutes. We FaceTime or Zoom so we have the visual connection. In this session, we discuss the issue then tap through various aspects of it. I will show you the sequence of points we tap on our bodies and the most effective way it is done. Then we tap together. This is a powerful process.

It is a beautiful way of approaching things because we don’t need to go into the trauma, just your emotions about the trauma. Normally and for most things, an event that has happened in the past, stays in the past and you just have memories of those events. If you have deep or intense emotions about that event, now it resides no longer in the past but in the present now. It is your emotions that keep it alive. So, we are tapping to release the emotions, then it is something that happened in the past, no longer diminishing your spirit. (And in my wishes for you, it now becomes a source of your strength and gifts.)

• EFT Class

This session lasts approx. 90 minutes. We FaceTime or Zoom, again, for the visuals. In this session, we not only tap on something that you would like to work on but I give you information sheets and teach you how to tap on your own. You become empowered to break these old patterns that have been tormenting you, and, use it in the now as things arise like a fight with a spouse, a fear about speaking, allergies, an old victim thought surfacing, a driver who pulled out in front of you, etc. This class may be done with friends, which is advantageous as you then have practice partners.
